The Jeep Wrangler TJ, produced from 1997 to 2006, came in various trim levels, each offering different features and options. Here are the main trim levels for the Jeep Wrangler TJ during that period:

SE: The base model, featuring the essential components for off-road capability. It often came with a soft top, steel wheels, and a basic interior. The SE model was aimed at those who wanted a more affordable entry into the Wrangler lineup.
Engine Options: 2.5L, 2.4L, 4.0L
Standard Options: Vinyl seats and removable rear bench seat among others like AM/FM stereo etc.

X: Introduced in later years (2002-2006), the X trim was positioned above the SE. It included some additional features and options, making it a step up in terms of comfort and convenience.
Engine: Standard 4.0L Engine for this Trim.
Air conditioning was optional.

Sport: The Sport trim level added more features compared to the SE, including options for a hard top, alloy wheels, and more interior comforts. It was a popular choice for those who wanted a balance between off-road capability and on-road comfort.
Engine: Standard 4.0L Engine and Dana 35 Rear axle.
Optional upgrades for Axle, Tires and Stereo were available.

Sahara: Positioned as a more luxurious option, the Sahara trim included features like upgraded seats, distinctive exterior decals, and sometimes special interior trims. It was often considered a more comfortable choice for daily driving while maintaining off-road capabilities.
Engine: 4.0L Engine was standard.
Wider body colored fender flares, body colored rocker sills, optional 30-inch wheel and tire group and full steel doors.
Standard features included an AM/FM stereo with cassette player and four speakers (later, a CD player replaced the cassette player, and seven premium speakers with center console-mounted subwoofer became standard), premium cloth seats, and alloy wheels.

Rubicon: The Wrangler Rubicon (named for the famed Rubicon Trail in the Sierra Nevada Mountains) was introduced summer 2002 and 2003. The Rubicon trim is known for its enhanced off-road capabilities. It featured heavy-duty axles, lower gear ratios, front and rear differential lockers, and other upgrades aimed at serious off-road enthusiasts. The Rubicon model is highly regarded for its out-of-the-box trail readiness.

Unlimited (LJ): The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, also known as the LJ, was introduced in 2004. It had an extended wheelbase compared to the standard TJ, providing more interior space. The Unlimited model was available in various trims, including Sport, Sahara, and Rubicon.

These trim levels allowed buyers to choose a Wrangler that suited their preferences, whether they were looking for a basic and affordable off-roader (SE), a more well-equipped daily driver with off-road capability (Sport, Sahara), or a highly capable off-road machine right from the factory (Rubicon). The availability of certain features and trims might vary depending on the model year, so it’s always a good idea to check the specific details for the year you are interested in.
